The Bio Lagnasco Group
The Lagnasco Group has always paid precise attention to the environment and biodiversity and this has been especially realized in some farms that produce according to the regulations of organic production (according to EC Reg. n. 843/2007) and biodynamics.
All of the 4 cooperatives that make up Lagnasco Group have certificates of organic production: 2 of them for all of their associates (Il Frutto Permesso ed Agronatura) and 2 for only a portion of their associates. All together there are 56 certified organic farms and they produce:
- fruit and vegetables for fresh consumption, particularly apples, kiwi, blueberries, peaches and nectarines;
- fruit and vegetables for industrial processing, particularly apples, kiwi, peaches and nectarines;
- processed fruit and vegetables, particularly fruit juice (with and without pulp), compotes, fruit in syrup, dried fruit (apples and pears), fruit based liquors, vegetables in vinegar, sauces and other jarred specialties;
- aromatic and medicinal herbs such as: mint, rosemary, thyme, lavender, lemon verbena, rose, chamomile, sage, helichrysum and other species, from which dried herbs, essential oils, herbal teas and herbal baths are obtained.
